Ban on fireworks on Diwali Official announcement of the government

 Delhiites will also not be able to enjoy fireworks this Diwali.  Delhi government has banned firecrackers completely.  In view of the increasing level of pollution in the capital, the state government has taken this decision.

 Till now the Delhi government was appealing to people to run only Green Crackers on Diwali.  A special campaign was also started for this.  The use of firecrackers other than green firecrackers was prohibited.

 But this evening, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a complete ban on all types of firecrackers on Diwali.

Before the fireworks ban, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had told that the situation of Kovid-19 is getting worse due to increasing air pollution in Delhi.  He appealed to the people not to burst firecrackers.

 He said, 'Just as we had resolved to not burn firecrackers on Deepawali last year and had gathered in Connaught Place and shared the happiness of Deepawali.  Similarly, this year too, we will celebrate Diwali together but will not burn firecrackers.

He said, 'This time too we will all celebrate Diwali together.  Firecrackers will not burn.  Do not burn crackers under any circumstances.  If the firecrackers are lit, they will play with the lives of their own children, play with the life of their own family.  Will not fire crackers, will celebrate Diwali together.

 Lakshmi worship will be done all over Delhi

 Arvind Kejriwal said that this time on Diwali at 7.39 pm, 2 crore people from all over Delhi will together worship Diwali.  Some TV channels will broadcast it live
